Are you an elegant dinner party sort-of person, or more of a let’s-grab-sandwiches-from-the-local-café sort-of person? Or maybe both?

For family gatherings I like to keep it simple, but when friends are coming over, I’ve been known to go all out with something much more on the fancy side, Julia Child-style.

Spring brings out the desire for dinner parties in me, probably because once it warms up a bit I start to feel like I want to come out of winter’s hibernation and join the land of the living again. What better way to do it than to celebrate over a beautiful meal?
