With Thanksgiving on Thursday, this week marks the start of the holiday season. Definitely my favorite time of year…but…I feel like it completely snuck up on me! Usually I’ve done at least some of my shopping, made a batch or two of Christmas cookies, and listened to at least a couple festive tunes.
So far I haven’t done any of those things (ok, maybe I snuck in a few festive tunes in the car…the radio has been playing them since Halloween, lol!). But I think the real reason why I feel like the end of November should not be here is because we’ve had weather in the 60’s and even 70’s since September! And not a single snowstorm…all we’ve had were a couple of light “flurry”-type snows, and nothing has stuck. Now I’m not complaining, but I live in snow country…we’re snow people! (See this post for some of last year’s snowy fun.) Even just three inches would help me feel like it’s actually time for the holidays to be here. ;)
Fingers crossed for snow headed my way soon, but even if it doesn’t feel like the holidays are here, they are. And a girl needs to be prepared.
What better way to be prepared than with food, right? I recently had the opportunity to sample some of Lindt’s Lindor Truffles, which are the perfect thing to have on hand, especially during the holidays.
This time of year unexpected visitors are the norm, which means I keep my candy bowl stocked to have a treat at the ready for guests (and if I’m being honest, to sneak an occasional treat myself). These truffles are wonderful for stuffing stockings, and they also make a very pretty addition to cookie trays (for those of you who usually get cookie trays from me – yes, your trays will have these lovely chocolates interspersed!).
But my very favorite way to use these truffles is this…
Add a crackling fire and snow falling outside, and this is what my perfect afternoon looks like…it just feels like the holidays!
Nothing tastes quite like the Lindor Truffle. Created only by Lindt’s Master Chocolatiers, it’s exquisite chocolate filled with a smooth chocolate center. When the irresistible center starts to melt…so will you. Smooth. Flowing. Luscious. Chocolate like no other.

I love Lindt chocolates and Lindor balls!
Cheers,

So funny….I’m so NOT a cold weather/snow girl…sounds funny to read about you wishing for it ;) BUT- I hope you get your snow! Those little truffles are fabulous. They scream Christmas to me!
What a great Holiday Treat! I can’t wait for the snow either.
I love Lindt chocolates always very tasty!
Lindt truffles are a fun chocolate indulgence.
No snow for us in Southern California, but we have had rain so it is starting to feel like holiday time.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Mimi
I don’t know why, but I’m not ready for snow quite yet. I know it’s coming though! I heard this winter is supposed to be rough…so I’m sure it’s coming – ahhh! :)
We always have Lindt balls (truffles) in our Christmas stockings. One year I teased my son and put a lint roller in his stocking – I told him that now he was grown up because he used to get Lindt balls in his stocking but now that he was big he got lint rollers. He said he didn’t want to grow up!
Perfect portion. No guilt. :)
I love Lindt truffles! It isn’t Christmas without them in my stocking!
Lindt truffles are my fave! I almost always use the little bags for stocking stuffers. They are just sooo creamy and smooth–just like you said! And the flavor just perfect. Love your mug in the photo.
My mom totally keeps Lindors around for “unexpected guests” all holiday season. The bulk of which are…my stomach.

I really liked this blog. It was charming without sinking to the preciousness you get with many or a sense of self-absorption in the blogger. The photos were enticing and the recipes and occasional diversions were genuinely interesting. Then posts like this started. Blatant advertisements, there’s no other way to describe them. I don’t fault the blogger for wanting to earn a little more from the blog, but it really…well the most appropriate way I can put it…kills my appetite.
Dear AKAAKN,
I am happy to post your comment! I just wish you had left a real name so I could address you properly, and a real email address so I’d be sure you’ll see my response. Perhaps you’ll check back and see it anyway. ;)
First off, thank you for your kind words about my blog. I put my heart and soul into it and it’s nice to know that people appreciate that. That being said, I also provide a service. A service that readers (such as yourself) do not have to pay for, but a service nonetheless. To keep a food blog going there are literally countless costs involved…camera/lenses/other photography equipment, food, plates/utensils/fabrics/other props, and website costs, to name just a few. Although most bloggers I know (myself included) blog because they’re passionate and want to share that passion, not because they’re trying to make money, it is nice to receive a small amount of compensation for my work (I would never expect you or anyone else to work without compensation). Even so, to pretend that the amount of money I got from this post in any way offsets the cost of keeping up this blog would be very wishful thinking on my part.
Further, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time you know that my reviews are a fair reflection of my opinion of a product, and that I would never promote a product I didn’t believe in. If you don’t like the product, that is your prerogative and I can respect that. And hopefully you can respect mine as well.

No such thing for me to keep a stock of Lindt in the house for guest…the will disappear. OK I am from snow country but it can stay away as long as possible for me lol.
Sadly I am use to holidays with warmer weather, sometimes even heat
waves :( I do love Lindt chocolates :)
My friend just snuck me a truffle when we were leaving school the other day. I say “snuck” because it’s one thing I hide from my kiddos. :)
I moved out of snow country to escape it!! I DO NOT like snow at all!! I like to watch it fall though….so if you could just put a tape in with it I’d be good. That cup of coffee with the truffles is the perfect thing.
I love lindt! Bought a bag full of Chocolate gifts by Lindt! And got a discount coupon as well! Sweet!
