As a food blogger, most of the food I make is memorialized in a photograph or a written recipe. Even if it’s less formal than a recipe for a book or my blog – for example, a recipe I share in one of my (very rare) What I Ate Wednesday posts or on Instagram – the vast majority of my food is recorded in some way.

Which is, admittedly, a teensy cumbersome sometimes. (more…)

Sautéed Kale with Sausage and White Beans

Mike and I always joke that we are much more active in colder months, and this week was a good example. (Side Note: We are cold-weather people…I am so excited for our first snowfall!)

The past seven days have been crazy busy with entertaining…I’ve made roast chicken, a slow-cooking Moroccan-inspired stew (like this one), and even an autumnal-themed luncheon. Now it’s time for a quiet meal and some quick-cooking comfort food. (more…)

Cabbage, White Bean, & Sausage Soup

One of my favorite things about winter is making soup.  With a head of cabbage in it, this soup is healthy and delicious (and even tastier the next day!), and with sausage and beans, it’s also really hearty.  Paired with fresh bread, it’s the perfect meal on a chilly night. (more…)
