Creamy Sweet Potato Soup

Wednesday, November 20th, 2013

Recently finding myself with a lone sweet potato in my fridge and hoping for some inspiration, I did a quick search on my site to see what sweet potato recipes I’ve shared with you.

Friends, I am hanging my head in shame. (more…)

Salads are one of the best ways to enjoy seasonal produce. This time of year I like including things like fresh apple, pear, pomegranate arils, dried cranberries, walnuts, cheese, and/or diced turkey. The combinations are just about endless. (more…)

Cream Cheese Pumpkin Spice Spread

In 10th grade at my high school, health education class was mandatory for all students.

In my class, there was a kid named Tim. Tim was a nice enough kid; the sporty type and on the hockey team, but not necessarily overly health-conscious. Once that perfect balance of flavors is struck, an ordinary dish becomes unforgettable.

Pumpkin and Cheese Spice Bread

Last year I came up with a recipe for Baked Pumpkin Spice Donuts that both Mike and I went crazy for. (And this is nothing short of a miracle since he’s a self-proclaimed pumpkin-hater.) Since then, I’ve wanted to re-work the batter into muffins and/or quick bread. (more…)
