Morning in the Middle East (Apricot Jam):  Check out my guest post on The Ardent Epicure to see how I used color in this image (as well as several others) to tell a story.

I’m so excited to share this post with you all!  If you’re into food photography or just photography in general, head over to my friend Alisha’s blog (The Ardent Epicure) to check out my guest post, where I talk about using color in your photographs to help convey the story or mood you want to depict.  I had so much fun with this post…thank you so much for inviting me, Alisha!

P.S.  If you want to know a little more about my book, Alisha included an interview in my guest post!

I LOVED your photography guest post! I’ve just started getting into food photography so that was so helpful for me! The color palettes were all gorgeous with your food and same with the composition. Thanks for the tips!

A great tutorial. I watch so many HGTV home decorating shows that you’d think I’d know the color wheel backwards and forwards by now. But your tips really helped make it all stick.
