3-Ingredient Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Eggs

As a kid, I always thought Easter had the best candy as far as holidays go.

Jelly Belly jelly beans, Cadbury cream eggs, and Reese’s peanut butter eggs all in one day! (OMG, not to mention Sponge Candy.) What kid wouldn’t go crazy? (First of excitement and then of a sugar rush.)

Vanilla-Cardamom Pear Hand Pies

I’m one of those people. You know, the people who get an idea stuck in their head and can’t sit still until it’s not just an idea anymore. I need something tangible to come from it. Today marks mine and Mike’s 8th wedding anniversary, which seems completely crazy to me. (Crazy that eight years have passed, not that we’ve stuck together that long. Although, maybe it is a little crazy since we were so young when we got married…who says kids can’t make good choices? Lol.) Anyway, people have been congratulating us all over the place for passing the “seven year itch”, so I’ll take our 8th anniversary as a really good omen. I don’t like PDAs (which includes PDAs on the blog!) so not to worry, I won’t get all mushy here. But I will tell you a little something […]...

Coconut-Vanilla “Honey” Syrup {7 Days of Festive Holiday Treats}

DSC_0765(small)

Today’s recipe for my 7 Days of Festive Holiday Treats is something that is perfect for gifting. It’s quite unique – give a festively wrapped jar of this syrup to a friend, then watch them read the label and their eyes light up as they exclaim Oooh, what is this?! The fact that it is as easy to make is it is exotic-sounding will be our little secret though....

A while ago a friend of mine was sweet enough to send me a copy of a book he thought I’d enjoy, called Mourad: New Morocan by Mourad Lahlou. My friend knows me well because I swooned over this book the instant I opened it....
