Gingersnap + White Chocolate Truffles {7 Days of Festive Holiday Treats}

December 16, 2012 by Faith 11 Comments

If you had to choose only one flavor that embodies fall, what would it be?

For me, it’s ginger, without a doubt.

(I’m pretty sure this is because of these cookies, which I vividly remember my mom frequently making in autumns gone by.) Even when I don’t have homemade Molasses Crinkles on hand, I can usually find a box of store-bought gingersnaps in my cupboard (which are surprisingly delicious!).…

Dark Chocolate-Coated Cranberry Cake Bites {7 Days of Festive Holiday Treats}

December 11, 2012 by Faith 19 Comments

I have a stock-pile of recipes building up. I’m not quite sure how that happened since I’ve been posting much more than normal lately, but I’m definitely not going to complain! However, I’ve noticed quite a few treat recipes that are fall-ish and/or perfect for festive holiday gatherings, and I wanted to get them all posted before this holiday season has come and gone....

Thai-Inspired Pumpkin Soup

November 14, 2012 by Faith 17 Comments

At the beginning of fall I can’t wait for all things pumpkin. Then there inevitably comes a point when Ooh, pumpkin soup! turns into Oh…pumpkin soup. I’m not quite at that point yet (I’m a die-hard fan…still can’t get enough Sugar-Free Pumpkin Spice Syrup!), but if you are, this soup is for you. (Really…I wouldn’t steer you wrong.) It’s less like pumpkin soup and more like peanut-y satay sauce. And I don’t know about you, but the sauce is my favorite part of satay....

Autumnal Afternoon Tea

October 22, 2012 by Faith 18 Comments

A couple weeks ago I hosted a cozy afternoon tea with an autumnal flair. It was so much fun and there was talk of making it seasonal affair, which I think is a wonderful idea! I’m going to be sharing the recipes I made throughout the next month or so, but for now I’m going to let the photos do the talking....

Perfect Summer Party Foods

June 19, 2012 by Faith 22 Comments

This is the easiest pasta salad ever:  Mix 3/4 lb cooked pasta with 1 batch Best Dressing, 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved), and 3 scallions (thinly sliced).  Perfect pool party food! As kids, the one thing my sister and I wanted during summer was a pool.  (Ok, that’s a stretch.  We also wanted a dog.  And a cat.  And a boatload of Fla-vor-ice freeze pops to eat, and a backyard “fort” to camp out in.)  But really, we begged and pleaded with my parents for a pool for as long as I can remember....

A Lamb Feast

June 15, 2012 by Faith 20 Comments

In many cultures, meat in general and lamb in particular is what you serve to guests…especially guests you really like!  (Since it’s usually the most expensive part of the meal, serving meat demonstrates your hospitality.)  I ate more lamb in the Middle East in just a couple months than I ate in the rest of my life combined.  (Middle Easterners are a generous, hospitable group of people…lamb was on the menu often!  Plus my hubby has a lot of family members, and each one wanted the chance to host us.) Stateside Mike and I generally don’t eat as much lamb, except during the Eid right […]...

Red Velvet Macarons

February 8, 2012 by Faith 39 Comments

I had to save the best for last with my Valentine’s Day meal. After my white hot chocolate, your dessert cravings will probably be satiated, but there’s always room for a pretty little mac or two, right? ;)...

White Hot Chocolate

February 6, 2012 by Faith 36 Comments

If you’re like me and have a the-darker-the-better mindset when it comes to chocolate, you’re probably wondering why on earth I used white chocolate to make this drink. I’m with you, trust me, I am....

Spiced Sirloin Roast for Two

February 4, 2012 by Faith 18 Comments

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you probably know that I’m not the biggest meat eater; in general I really don’t make roasts (except roast chicken, which is a specialty of mine). For the most part I gravitate towards fish or veggie-based meals, so I don’t blame my hubby at all for being completely impressed (actually, shocked is probably a better word) when he came home to this lovely roast beef one day....

I developed this recipe last year on a whim one af I developed this recipe last year on a whim one afternoon when I really just wanted a slice of chocolate cake. 🎉🙈 I wasn't going to post the recipe, but it was pretty and one thing led to another and I styled and snapped a few pictures. It really is crazy delicious and it whips up in just 10 minutes in the microwave (and it has just 5g net carbs per serving!). And so here it is, lol. Find the recipe on @anediblemosaic 😘 --> https://www.anediblemosaic.com/chocolate-keto-mug-cake-recipe/

I shipped cookies to my family members this year b I shipped cookies to my family members this year because I’m not heading home for the holidays, and when I was thinking about what to bake I knew I wanted a few new things on the lineup! I’ve been wanting to come up with a recipe for Eggnog Cookies for a while and I’m pretty proud of these. 🥰 I couldn't wait to share the recipe with you! These are like sugar cookies, soft and chewy inside and slightly crispy outside, but with a festive eggnoggy twist. 💫 And bonus, they take just over half an hour to whip up.
