Front View of Cast Iron Burger on Bun with Lettuce Tomato Onion and Pickles on White Plate with Blue Rim

Cast Iron Burgers are juicy and flavorful, and easy to make on your stovetop in a cast-iron skillet. They’re perfect if you don’t have an outdoor grill or if it’s too cold to grill outside! For a lot of us, grilling is the preferred cooking method in summer. Grilling is quick and easy, and doesn’t require heating up the kitchen to get dinner on the table! And surprisingly, grilling is a very versatile cooking method. My dad has told me several times that he could cook a cake on a grill and I actually believe him, lol!...

Bowl of Low Carb Chili Garlic Steak Rice with Runny Yolk

This Low Carb Chili Garlic Steak Rice Bowl pairs leftover steak and cauliflower rice with a flavorful easy sauce for a quick and easy healthier take on a rice bowl! During warmer months, dinner on the grill is the norm. Whether its burgers, chicken, fish, or steak, throw it on the barbeque and just let it do its thing! I had extra steak in my fridge and instead of just serving it up as boring leftovers I completely reworked it into a Low Carb Chili Garlic Steak Rice Bowl!...

Overhead View of Low Carb Indian Butter Chicken Recipe on White Wood Table

This Easy Low Carb Butter Chicken Recipe is packed with flavor and perfect for when you’re short on time. It’s a great way to use leftover chicken! When I lived in the DC area I was completely spoiled with great food. There was anything and everything a girl could want, and most of it within a short distance. New York-style pizza, Afghani food, Ethiopian, Greek, Pakistani, Syrian, Spanish, French, the freshest seafood, and of course, my personal favorite, truly fantastic Indian cuisine....

Low Carb Noodle Free Lasagna Recipe in Dish on Yellow Wooden Table

This Low Carb Noodle Free Lasagna Recipe features a homemade meat sauce and flavorful savory ricotta mixture, and is topped with a combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses for the ultimate cheesy comfort food. First let’s talk about the elephant in the room. My Low Carb Noodle Free Lasagna Recipe is by no means a classic or authentic lasagna! However, it is jam-packed with flavor, and every bit as delicious as a regular lasagna. I’ve had both keto and non-keto people ask for seconds, as well as ask for the recipe....

Persian Okra Stew (Khoresh Bamieh)

February 20, 2019 by Faith 18 Comments

Persian Okra Stew (Khoresh Bamieh) with Small Bowl of Rice and Vintage Spoons

Persian Okra Stew (Khoresh Bamieh) is a classic Iranian dish of meat stewed with tomatoes, okra, and spices. It’s delicious enough to convert even the most adamant okra haters! Growing up in Upstate New York I never tasted okra until I was a teenager (which could be partly because of geography and partly because of my mother’s huge dislike for it), until one summer when I visited my aunt in North Carolina. We went out for dinner and she ordered fried okra!...

Overhead View of Banh Mi Sandwich with Instant Pot Short Ribs and Quick Pickled Slaw on Silver Plate

This Banh Mi Sandwich with Instant Pot Short Ribs and Quick Pickled Slaw is the perfect combination of tender meat and zesty fresh, flavorful slaw. It’s my take on a classic favorite!  One of the best things about a sandwich (of course in addition to the fact that it’s portable and easy to make), is that you’re able to pack in a ton of flavors and textures. Here I paired braised beef short ribs with a sweet and spicy pickled slaw for the perfect balance!...

Overhead View of Low Carb Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe (Paleo, Low Carb)

This flavorful and juicy Low Carb Jamaican Jerk Chicken Recipe is a great way to celebrate the last grilling days of the season, but it’s equally delicious cooked in the oven year-round. In the seemingly endless variety of ways to cook chicken, it’s fun to take a little global inspiration. With a complex blend of savory spices, a touch of heat, depth from soy sauce, and the freshness of lime, Jamaican Jerk Chicken is a hard dish to pass up! Note that in terms of the heat level, I kept it more on the mild side as written, but feel free to adjust the heat […]...

Rich in flavor, this 30-Minute Beef Bolognese recipe has Herbes de Provence and red wine; it’s impressive enough to entertain with, but fast enough for weeknight dinner! Once cooking for yourself or for your family becomes a regular part of your routine, you find ways to make it work even on busy weeknights. Maybe it’s grocery shopping and prepping ingredients over the weekend. Alternatively, maybe it’s batch cooking a couple nights a week and then eating leftovers the rest of the time....

Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe

April 13, 2015 by Faith 9 Comments

This Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe is easy to make from scratch for the perfect weeknight meal! For a slight twist on classic tuna noodle casserole, it has Old Bay Seasoning and a buttered toast topping. It’s just a fact of life: anyone growing up in the late ‘80s and/or early ‘90s most likely had to endure some variation of tuna casserole. Frequently, in my case....

Pelmeni are Russian meat dumplings frequently serv Pelmeni are Russian meat dumplings frequently served with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkling of fresh dill. You can boil or fry them, they freeze like a dream (and they cook directly from frozen!), and they make a big batch so you’ll have a freezer stash of easy dinners for busy nights. But fair warning, these are definitely a labor of love. I made them last spring on a Zoom call with ma chérie Evelyne of @cultureatz that involved ridiculous amounts of laughter, and the shenanigans of us hand making about 100 dumplings each! I’m definitely a bad blogger for not sharing the recipe until now lol. But it’s (finally!) up and you can check it out on @anediblemosaic 🥰 —> https://www.anediblemosaic.com/pelmeni-recipe-russian-dumplings/ #dumplings #dumplingsfordays #russianfood #pelmeni #foodstyling #foodstylist #foodphotography #photography #moodygrams #lightandshadow
The other day Dan and I were at an antique store a The other day Dan and I were at an antique store and we happened to find one of the vendors who was putting out #vintage #valentinesday cards she had found in one of her storage units. 💌 These are from the 1930s/1940s! She was a third generation antique dealer and she said she still has several full rooms to sort through! (I love the treasure hunt of that, it’s like exploring in your grandparents’ attic.) Anyway, I had to buy a couple cards because they’re completely charming. #happyvalentinesday, lovelies. 🥰 #valentines #romantic #flatlay #valentinesmood #vintageprops #propstyling #propstylist #photography
#ad If you’re looking for a romantic meal to mak #ad If you’re looking for a romantic meal to make for your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day this weekend, you’ve come to the right place! This meal is easy, fast (no one will guess it whips up in less than 15 minutes!), and impressive. And soooo good. 🥰

What’s on the menu? Pan seared chicken in a savory cream sauce. Steamed green beans. And Fresh Blends Ready to Cook Idaho Potatoes!

Let’s talk sides first. Steamed green beans are easy, and they round out the meal well. Or you could go with broccoli if you want.

The real star of the side dish show are these flavorful @eagleeyeproduce potatoes! They’re family grown in Idaho. Fresh-cut, never cooked, never frozen, with no preservatives. And they cook up easily with a one-step cooking process (just 8 minutes in the microwave, or you can do them on the stovetop to get them crispy). Check out their website to find their store locator to see where they’re available near you --> https://eagleeyeproduce.com/store-locator/

And now the chicken! Inspired by the famous “Marry Me Chicken”, this recipe checks all the right boxes and has all the bells and whistles. Chicken cutlets cook up quick on the stovetop, and then a luscious cream sauce flavored with garlic, fresh herbs, and sundried tomatoes cooks in the same skillet. Take a look at the recipe in the comments below.

Who says a beautiful, romantic meal has to be complicated, right? ❤️

This small batch recipe of Red Velvet Cupcakes is This small batch recipe of Red Velvet Cupcakes is the perfect dessert for you and your sweetheart this Valentine's Day, and it's even more special because it was made for a cause. ❤️

This is the 5th year in a row that Julie from @thelittlekitchn has organized the Cookies for Kid's Cancer Valentine's Event to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer, and I'm honored to be part of it.

Cancer is the top cause of death of children by disease in the U.S. There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. And the National Cancer Institute’s budget for childhood cancer is less than 4%.⁣
⁣
You can help make a difference by donating to @cookies4kids. Our goal is to raise at least $3000. Thank you to @OXO, @Mediavine and @Dixie_Crystals who have each pledged to match our donations raised through this campaign up to $3000!⁣
