I wait for strawberry season for about 11 months out of the year.
I look forward to strawberry picking and making jam (strawberry freezer jam is the absolute best!), as well as things like sandwiches, cupcakes, popsicles, frozen drinks, and even salads. Yup, we enjoy our fair share of strawberries over here.
I recently made a recipe for Strawberry Soup from a Disney cookbook (you can see my attempt at the cute little Mickey ears garnish using sour cream on the soup). I was curious as to whether it would taste similar to a smoothie, and I was pretty surprised when it was actually nothing like it! Much richer and less sweet, this Strawberry Soup is definitely its own thing.
