Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe (Keto)

July 24, 2020 by Faith 2 Comments

This keto Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe is rich, creamy, and full of flavor; it’s perfect on everything from salad to chicken wings!

The Best Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing on Pear Hazelnut Salad Overhead View

The thing about blue cheese is that it evokes an extreme reaction in most people. Either you really love it, or it’s not even something you can gag down.

For those of us who fall into the “yuuuum, blue cheese” camp, I have the perfect dressing for you.…

Creamy Coleslaw with Tart Cherries, Blue Cheese, and Toasted Walnuts

August 26, 2016 by Faith 3 Comments

Creamy Coleslaw with Tart Cherries, Blue Cheese, and Toasted Walnuts is as easy to make as regular coleslaw, but with way more flavor! When Mike and I were on our honeymoon in Jordan it was my first time in the Middle East. Those were (as every honeymoon should be) lazy days, and since it was Mike’s home turf he was in charge of things like food. We ate out a lot, mostly things that are considered fast food over there like chicken shawarma, roast chicken, falafel, hummus, etc. He was a college student there at the time, so the takeout way of life was familiar […]...

Grilled Chicken Salad with Corn, Peaches, Blue Cheese, and Balsamic-Honey Syrup

July 24, 2015 by Faith 10 Comments

This Grilled Chicken Salad with Corn, Peaches, Blue Cheese, and Balsamic-Honey Syrup is full of summer flavors! Until about a year ago I was completely grill-lazy. Which was strange because I went through a grill-all-the-time phase where I wouldn’t even let my hubby touch the grill. (Ok, that’s a stretch…I insisted on being the primary griller, but far be it from me to completely stand between a man and his fire.)...

Blue Cheese, Chicken, and Cauliflower Skillet with Bacon, Walnut, and Date Topping

April 6, 2015 by Faith 10 Comments

I go through phases when I just don’t feel like cooking. At all. Sometimes, if I’m really burned out, the better part of a week will go by before I feel inspired to cook. That’s when Mike gets to do one of his favorite things: live off the food from the Pakistani restaurant a block from where we live. It’s a windfall for him and a win for me too since I get a much-needed break and time to recharge....

Spicy Blue Cheese Celery Slaw

January 30, 2014 by Faith 7 Comments

Spicy Blue Cheese Celery Slaw in White Bowl on Wooden Table

Spicy Blue Cheese Celery Slaw features the crunch of celery in a creamy dressing with a punch of heat from Frank’s RedHot and the tangy flavor of blue cheese. It’s perfect served with Buffalo wings or Buffalo Chicken Burgers! When I was younger I hated celery with a purple passion, lol. As the perfect vessel for things like peanut butter, cream cheese, or French onion dip, celery is such an odd vegetable to hate on. But I wouldn’t have been caught dead munching a celery stick. Not even along with a chicken wing and blue cheese for dipping!...

Date, Walnut, and Blue Cheese Ball

December 4, 2012 by Faith 17 Comments

Around the holidays, I’ve noticed that in addition to loads of requests for cookie recipes, new appetizer ideas are always high in demand. Parties are frequent, and what better to serve than a spread of appetizers where people can come and go as they munch and chat, eating little bites from their favorite dishes....

Tarte Flambée with Blue Cheese & Champagne Grapes

August 22, 2011 by Faith 53 Comments

I’m an equal opportunity pizza lover.  Whether it’s thick crust, deep dish, grilled, topped with tomato sauce, or dessert style, odds are I will adore it.  But mmm, thin crust is my number one favorite.  Tarte flambée, which is basically a thin crust pizza hailing from the Alsace region of France, has been at the top of my list of recipes that I’ve been dying to try for quite some time.  When Natasha and Laz announced that this month’s 5 Star Makeover theme was pizza, I knew exactly what I wanted to make....

Kilpatrick’s Publick House, Ithaca, New York

May 30, 2010 by Faith 29 Comments

During our stay in Ithaca, Mike and I ate dinner at Kilpatrick’s Publick House, which is a cozy, pub-style restaurant and bar in downtown Ithaca with a huge menu. We were initially seated in the front of the restaurant, which is very homey and inviting with a fireplace and a large mural on the wall (and I have to add that there’s good lighting for taking pictures because of nearby windows!).  Unfortunately, there was a table of about 12 rowdy patrons (our waitress told us they had been there for happy hour) right next to us who were so loud that Mike and I had to scream to […]...

The other day Dan and I were at an antique store a The other day Dan and I were at an antique store and we happened to find one of the vendors who was putting out #vintage #valentinesday cards she had found in one of her storage units. 💌 These are from the 1930s/1940s! She was a third generation antique dealer and she said she still has several full rooms to sort through! (I love the treasure hunt of that, it’s like exploring in your grandparents’ attic.) Anyway, I had to buy a couple cards because they’re completely charming. #happyvalentinesday, lovelies. 🥰 #valentines #romantic #flatlay #valentinesmood #vintageprops #propstyling #propstylist #photography
#ad If you’re looking for a romantic meal to mak #ad If you’re looking for a romantic meal to make for your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day this weekend, you’ve come to the right place! This meal is easy, fast (no one will guess it whips up in less than 15 minutes!), and impressive. And soooo good. 🥰

What’s on the menu? Pan seared chicken in a savory cream sauce. Steamed green beans. And Fresh Blends Ready to Cook Idaho Potatoes!

Let’s talk sides first. Steamed green beans are easy, and they round out the meal well. Or you could go with broccoli if you want.

The real star of the side dish show are these flavorful @eagleeyeproduce potatoes! They’re family grown in Idaho. Fresh-cut, never cooked, never frozen, with no preservatives. And they cook up easily with a one-step cooking process (just 8 minutes in the microwave, or you can do them on the stovetop to get them crispy). Check out their website to find their store locator to see where they’re available near you --> https://eagleeyeproduce.com/store-locator/

And now the chicken! Inspired by the famous “Marry Me Chicken”, this recipe checks all the right boxes and has all the bells and whistles. Chicken cutlets cook up quick on the stovetop, and then a luscious cream sauce flavored with garlic, fresh herbs, and sundried tomatoes cooks in the same skillet. Take a look at the recipe in the comments below.

Who says a beautiful, romantic meal has to be complicated, right? ❤️

This small batch recipe of Red Velvet Cupcakes is This small batch recipe of Red Velvet Cupcakes is the perfect dessert for you and your sweetheart this Valentine's Day, and it's even more special because it was made for a cause. ❤️

This is the 5th year in a row that Julie from @thelittlekitchn has organized the Cookies for Kid's Cancer Valentine's Event to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer, and I'm honored to be part of it.

Cancer is the top cause of death of children by disease in the U.S. There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. And the National Cancer Institute’s budget for childhood cancer is less than 4%.⁣
⁣
You can help make a difference by donating to @cookies4kids. Our goal is to raise at least $3000. Thank you to @OXO, @Mediavine and @Dixie_Crystals who have each pledged to match our donations raised through this campaign up to $3000!⁣

I developed this recipe last year on a whim one af I developed this recipe last year on a whim one afternoon when I really just wanted a slice of chocolate cake. 🎉🙈 I wasn't going to post the recipe, but it was pretty and one thing led to another and I styled and snapped a few pictures. It really is crazy delicious and it whips up in just 10 minutes in the microwave (and it has just 5g net carbs per serving!). And so here it is, lol.
