Gingerbread Caramel Candy (Homemade Chewy Caramel Recipe No Corn Syrup)

December 18, 2020 by Faith Leave a Comment

Gingerbread Caramel Candy is a fun and festive twist on classic soft and chewy caramel candy. If you’re looking for homemade soft and chewy caramel recipe with no corn syrup, this is the recipe for you and it’s easier to make than you might think!

Gingerbread Caramel Candy (Homemade Chewy Caramel Recipe No Corn Syrup) Top View with Candy Unwrapped

I have a family member who is absolutely crazy about my homemade soft and chewy caramels. (I won’t mention names to protect the innocent, but she’s a certain 15-year-old sugar fiend, lol!).

My homemade caramel is usually only a special treat for the holidays. This year I decided to spice things up with Gingerbread Caramel Candy! This aromatic soft and chewy caramel is warmly spiced with maple-y caramel notes and buttery richness.…

Eggnog Pudding

December 9, 2020 by Faith 32 Comments

Spiced with freshly-grated nutmeg and laced with vanilla and cinnamon, this Eggnog Pudding is creamy and full of festive flavor! It’s surprisingly healthy too. Protein powder bumps up the protein content, and there’s no added sugar! The strangest thing happened the other day… My day was going along uneventfully until I suddenly found myself ravenous; it was between meal times, so a little snack was in order. I went for one of my favorites, carrots + hummus. Normal enough, right?...

Taco Cheese Ball

December 27, 2017 by Faith Leave a Comment

Taco Cheese Ball Top View Vertical Orientation

When it comes to food, cheese balls are always the life of the party and you’ll be surprised how much this Taco Cheese Ball actually tastes like tacos! I first started making cheese balls about six or seven years ago when they were retro-chic and people were used to buying them from the store. I think the homemade version had been popular in the 1970’s, but then somehow people forgot just how easy they are to make....

Gingerbread Snack Cake with Earl Grey Glaze

December 12, 2016 by Faith 3 Comments

Gingerbread Snack Cake with Earl Grey Glaze is full of Christmas-y flavor and is the perfect thing to accompany a steaming cup of holiday tea. Closing my eyes and tipping my head back slightly, I inhale deeply. I smell a crispness in the air; faintly woodsmoke, pine trees, and a richly spiced sweet aroma. At that my eyes pop open and a longing for gingerbread hits me; I know it won’t be long before one graces my kitchen. That was two weeks ago, and I couldn’t hold out any longer. And anyway, I’ve been working on perfecting my gingerbread recipe since last winter, and it’s high time […]...

Cheesy Green Bean and Red Rice Casserole {Lactose-Free; Gluten-Free}

November 16, 2015 by Faith 7 Comments

This Cheesy Green Bean and Red Rice Casserole makes a beautiful addition to any holiday spread. With Thanksgiving being next week, do you have your holiday meal fully planned? Of course there are some dishes that have to be on the table (I’m looking at you, turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce!), but in my family, we like to switch up the other sides a little bit. Maybe one year we’ll make candied sweet potatoes, and the next year it’ll be marshmallow-topped squash. Sometimes corn casserole is involved, and that is always a winner....

White Chocolate-Peppermint Mousse

December 21, 2012 by Faith 20 Comments

In college I had a friend who complained of being a huge money-waster. She always claimed that through no fault of her own, she’d end up spending money needlessly in spite of her best efforts not to. And she was right; I saw this happen time and time again, despite the fact that she was more than a little tight-fisted, lol. (And I mean that in the nicest way possible, as a statement of fact rather than judgement. She was a great friend!)...

Gingersnap + White Chocolate Truffles {7 Days of Festive Holiday Treats}

December 16, 2012 by Faith 11 Comments

If you had to choose only one flavor that embodies fall, what would it be? For me, it’s ginger, without a doubt. (I’m pretty sure this is because of these cookies, which I vividly remember my mom frequently making in autumns gone by.) Even when I don’t have homemade Molasses Crinkles on hand, I can usually find a box of store-bought gingersnaps in my cupboard (which are surprisingly delicious!)....

Nutty Biscotti {7 Days of Festive Holiday Treats}

December 15, 2012 by Faith 8 Comments

Where you live, does it snow for Christmas? It used to snow here religiously every year. (Actually, I remember being a kid and trick-or-treating in the snow on Halloween some years!) Alas, we haven’t been guaranteed a white Christmas for the past four years or so. Which is a crying shame, really…there’s just something about a blanket of white that makes Christmas feel so special....

Pelmeni are Russian meat dumplings frequently serv Pelmeni are Russian meat dumplings frequently served with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkling of fresh dill. You can boil or fry them, they freeze like a dream (and they cook directly from frozen!), and they make a big batch so you’ll have a freezer stash of easy dinners for busy nights. But fair warning, these are definitely a labor of love. I made them last spring on a Zoom call with ma chérie Evelyne of @cultureatz that involved ridiculous amounts of laughter, and the shenanigans of us hand making about 100 dumplings each! I’m definitely a bad blogger for not sharing the recipe until now lol. But it’s (finally!) up and you can check it out on @anediblemosaic 🥰 —> https://www.anediblemosaic.com/pelmeni-recipe-russian-dumplings/ #dumplings #dumplingsfordays #russianfood #pelmeni #foodstyling #foodstylist #foodphotography #photography #moodygrams #lightandshadow
The other day Dan and I were at an antique store a The other day Dan and I were at an antique store and we happened to find one of the vendors who was putting out #vintage #valentinesday cards she had found in one of her storage units. 💌 These are from the 1930s/1940s! She was a third generation antique dealer and she said she still has several full rooms to sort through! (I love the treasure hunt of that, it’s like exploring in your grandparents’ attic.) Anyway, I had to buy a couple cards because they’re completely charming. #happyvalentinesday, lovelies. 🥰 #valentines #romantic #flatlay #valentinesmood #vintageprops #propstyling #propstylist #photography
#ad If you’re looking for a romantic meal to mak #ad If you’re looking for a romantic meal to make for your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day this weekend, you’ve come to the right place! This meal is easy, fast (no one will guess it whips up in less than 15 minutes!), and impressive. And soooo good. 🥰

What’s on the menu? Pan seared chicken in a savory cream sauce. Steamed green beans. And Fresh Blends Ready to Cook Idaho Potatoes!

Let’s talk sides first. Steamed green beans are easy, and they round out the meal well. Or you could go with broccoli if you want.

The real star of the side dish show are these flavorful @eagleeyeproduce potatoes! They’re family grown in Idaho. Fresh-cut, never cooked, never frozen, with no preservatives. And they cook up easily with a one-step cooking process (just 8 minutes in the microwave, or you can do them on the stovetop to get them crispy). Check out their website to find their store locator to see where they’re available near you --> https://eagleeyeproduce.com/store-locator/

And now the chicken! Inspired by the famous “Marry Me Chicken”, this recipe checks all the right boxes and has all the bells and whistles. Chicken cutlets cook up quick on the stovetop, and then a luscious cream sauce flavored with garlic, fresh herbs, and sundried tomatoes cooks in the same skillet. Take a look at the recipe in the comments below.

Who says a beautiful, romantic meal has to be complicated, right? ❤️

This small batch recipe of Red Velvet Cupcakes is This small batch recipe of Red Velvet Cupcakes is the perfect dessert for you and your sweetheart this Valentine's Day, and it's even more special because it was made for a cause. ❤️

This is the 5th year in a row that Julie from @thelittlekitchn has organized the Cookies for Kid's Cancer Valentine's Event to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer, and I'm honored to be part of it.

Cancer is the top cause of death of children by disease in the U.S. There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. And the National Cancer Institute’s budget for childhood cancer is less than 4%.⁣
⁣
You can help make a difference by donating to @cookies4kids. Our goal is to raise at least $3000. Thank you to @OXO, @Mediavine and @Dixie_Crystals who have each pledged to match our donations raised through this campaign up to $3000!⁣
