November 25, 2019 by Faith 1 Comment

I hope you enjoy my Grilled Cheese Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich recipe! Thank you Tillamook for sponsoring this post. Visit your local Target to buy Tillamook Cheeses today.

You won’t even realize you’re eating leftovers with this Grilled Cheese Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich. It has turkey, sweet apple, tart cranberry sauce, tons of Tillamook cheese, and fried sage. It takes the idea of reinventing leftovers to a whole new level!

Grilled Cheese Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich on White Parchment Paper with Paring Knife

Does anyone remember the Friends episode with the “moist maker”? (Ross’ turkey sandwich with a gravy-soaked slice of bread in the center.)…

Caramelized Pineapple Grilled Cheese with Honeyed Walnuts

April 27, 2015 by Faith 26 Comments

What’s up with the pineapples on houses everywhere?, either Mike asked me or I asked him when we first moved to Virginia. January 25, 2013 by Faith 18 Comments

I don’t remember the first (edible) recipe I ever made, but I remember what it was for my brother: grilled cheese. He was about 10 and home alone for the first time. Grinning like the Cheshire cat, my brother exclaimed You have to slap the cheese back and […]...

I had no idea that such a thing existed until the lovely Jo-Lynne (of Musings of a Housewife) asked me if I wanted to create a grilled cheese recipe in honor of the occasion. (Of course I said yes. :) )...

Croque Madame

September 23, 2010 by Faith 53 Comments

Bistros are known for their comfort food, and both the Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame are bistro classics.  The Croque Monsieur is basically the French version of a grilled cheese sandwich; it’s stuffed with Gruyère cheese and ham (I used turkey instead), and topped with either Mornay or Béchamel sauce.  The Croque Madame is the Croque Monsieur with a fried egg on top.  And I have to say, Dear Reader, that as fabulous as a Croque Monsieur is, I will probably never eat it when the possibility of runny yolk can easily turn it into a Croque Madame.  ;) Croque Madame (Yield:  2 servings) Mornay […]...
