These flaky, buttery Savory Swiss Cheese and Thyme Scones feature subtle nuttiness from Swiss cheese that’s accentuated with a hint of thyme.

Gingerbread Snack Cake with Earl Grey Glaze

December 12, 2016 by Faith 3 Comments

Soft, moist, and richly spiced Gingerbread Snack Cake with Earl Grey Glaze is full of festive Christmas flavor, and is the perfect thing to accompany a steaming cup of holiday tea. Closing my eyes and tipping my head back slightly, I inhale deeply. I smell a crispness in the air; faintly wood smoke, pine trees, and a richly spiced sweet aroma. At that my eyes pop open and a longing for gingerbread hits me! I know it won’t be long before one graces my kitchen....

Savory Camembert Turnovers with Honey-Roasted Turkey and Lingonberry Jam

February 16, 2015 by Faith 3 Comments

There are a multitude of Korean cafés/bakeries where we live in Alexandria. Autumnal Afternoon Tea

October 22, 2012 by Faith 18 Comments

A couple weeks ago I hosted a cozy afternoon tea with an autumnal flair. It was so much fun and there was talk of making it seasonal affair, which I think is a wonderful idea! I’m going to be sharing the recipes I made throughout the next month or so, but for now I’m going to let the photos do the talking....

Cherry-Vanilla Sour Cream Scones with Vanilla Cream Spread

August 29, 2012 by Faith 29 Comments

I have always loved tea parties. I remember being a little girl and playing make-believe tea time with my best dolls arranged around a little table. I’d wear a hat, gloves, dress, and high-heeled shoes spirited away from my mom’s closet…and of course I always gracefully (haha!) tripped all over the place because of the shoes and too long dress. I only served water and crackers, but with a very proper (at least to my five year old ears) British accent, it always felt nothing short of elegant....
