Microwave corn on the cob

Make sure your corn is fresh, local if possible, and has the husks on. The corn steams in the husks and the end result is juicy, sweet corn.

Pro tip

Step 1

Microwave. Place all 4 ears of corn in the microwave (put them directly in the microwave, there is no need for a plate). Microwave on high for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Cool and shuck. Remove the corn from the microwave with potholders. Let it sit for 3 minutes to cool slightly before shucking. To shuck it, slice off the bottom and the husks and silk will easily slip off.
