Pro tip
Marinate. Mix up the spiced buttermilk marinade and soak the chicken for at least 2 hours or up to 1 day.
Dredge. Right before frying, whisk together the seasoned flour ingredients and dredge the chicken in the flour mixture.
Fry. Heat oil to 350F and fry the chicken until it's golden on both sides and reaches an internal temperature of 165F.
Sauce it. Brush the tops of the fried chicken with Nashville Hot Sauce. This packs a punch of flavor!
