This Tiramisu Latte recipe showcases the flavors of the classic Italian dessert in drink form. A sweet, creamy whipped mascarpone topping floats on top of iced espresso for an irresistibly decadent treat that takes just 10 minutes to make!
Add the heavy whipping cream to a bowl and whip to soft peaks. Add the mascarpone, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt, and whip until creamy and well-combined.
Assemble the Latte:
Add 1 cup of ice to each of 2 glasses. Divide the espresso between the glasses. Top each with half of the mascarpone cream.
To garnish, add the cocoa powder to a fine mesh sieve and sift it on top of each latte. Top each with a cookie.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Nutrition Information: The nutritional information for this recipe was calculated without the cookie garnish.
Maple Syrup Substitution: Instead of maple syrup, you can use 2 tablespoons simple syrup or 2 tablespoons powdered sugar.
Espresso Substitution: You can use double-strength hot coffee to make this latte.
Hot Espresso: Make sure the espresso is hot for this drink! Even though we’re making an iced latte, the espresso should be hot. This is because it will help melt the ice. Otherwise, the espresso will be too strong (it’s quite a bitter flavor when it’s not diluted).
Storage: You can store the mascarpone cream in a glass jar covered in the fridge for up to 3 days before making this latte.
To Make an Alcoholic Tiramisu Latte: As you might know, Tiramisu typically has alcohol in it! If you want to make an alcoholic version of this drink, you can add a shot of rum, brandy, or amaretto along with the espresso.
To Make This a Hot Latte Instead of Iced: Omit the ice, dilute the espresso with 2 tablespoons of hot water per serving, and serve in mugs instead of glasses.
For the Low Carb/Keto Version: Use keto maple syrup and a keto-friendly cookie.
