The Elvis Burger combines a juicy burger with creamy peanut butter, crispy bacon, and sweet caramelized banana for a uniquly delicious blend of flavors and textures!
Peel the bananas. Cut each in half in the middle, and then cut each banana half in half length-wise so you end up with 8 pieces.
Spray a large nonstick pan with cooking spray, place the bananas inside, and sprinkle the brown sugar on top.
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes (don’t flip). Remove from the heat, cover the top of the skillet with foil, and let the bananas sit while you cook the burgers.
Make the Burgers:
Shape the ground beef into 4 patties. Sprinkle both sides of each burger with the salt and black pepper.
Preheat a grill to medium-high. Grill the burgers for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on your desired level of doneness.
If you want to toast the buns, you can open them and grill until there are char marks (about 20 seconds).
Assemble the Burgers:
Spread 1 tablespoon peanut butter on the 4 bottom buns. Top each with a grilled burger, 2 caramelized banana pieces, and 2 slices of crisped bacon.
Notes
GroundBeef: I like to use 80% lean ground beef to make burgers. The relatively high fat content adds great flavor and helps keep them juicy as they cook.
