This sweet and fruity frozen berry margarita recipe whips up easily for a vibrant, refreshing cocktail. It’s perfect for an adult Cinco de Mayo fiesta, Taco Tuesday night, or any celebration!
Put the salt in a shallow dish. Rub the cut side of a fresh lime wedge along the rim of each of 4 glasses. Immediately after rubbing each glass with lime, dip them in the salt.
For the Frozen Berry Margaritas:
Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth.
To Serve:
Pour the margaritas into the salt-rimmed glasses. If desired, garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wheel.
Serve immediately.
Notes
How to Make Simple Syrup: To make about ¾ cup of simple syrup, add ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, and then remove from the heat and cool to room temperature. Or you can buy pre-made simple syrup if you prefer.
Simple Syrup Substitute: If desired, use agave nectar instead of simple syrup.
Orange Liqueur Substitute: If you don’t have orange liqueur, you can omit it from this recipe. If desired, add ½ cup orange juice or ¼ teaspoon orange extract instead.
Recipe Yield and Serving Size: This makes about 5 ½ cups, which is 5 servings. Each serving is just over 1 cup.
