Harry Potter Food
For Harry Potter fans young and old, these deliciously magical recipes for food and drink from the popular series will inspire and amaze you!
Butterbeer is of course iconic when you're talking about food and drink from Harry Potter. But these recipes go way beyond that!
They're perfect for your next movie marathon, book club meeting, or Halloween party.
Harry Potter Dinner
If you're putting together your own Hogwarts dinner feast, you've come to the right place for menu inspiration!
Here are a few classic British recipes that Ron, Harry, and Hermione are sure to love.
- Coronation Chicken (aka Curried Chicken Salad Recipe) - This might be more of a muggle recipe but it's fit for royalty, so Harry and co. might enjoy it. It's a favorite across the world, and it makes a beautiful first course.
- Cauliflower Cheese (aka Cauliflower Gratin Recipe) - With cauliflower in a rich, creamy cheese sauce, this is British comfort food at its finest! And a great way to eat more veggies.
- Individual Steak and Ale Pie Recipe - Essentially like the savory version of pasties, these hearty meat pies are filled with vegetable beef stew. It's classic pub fare that you can enjoy all over London, and most likely in Hogsmeade! (And if you really like savory pasties, check out this beef pasty recipe too.)
- Mincemeat Tarts Recipe - If you're putting together your Harry Potter dinner menu around the holidays, mincemeat tarts are a British Christmas tradition. And they probably made their way to holiday feasts at Hogwarts!
- Mini Victoria Sponge Cake Recipe - On the other hand, if you're planning a spring or summertime Harry Potter dinner, then these cupcake-sized Victoria sponges are perfect.
Butterbeer Recipes
Butterbeer, at least in my house, is more of a flavor than just a beverage!
I make tons of butterbeer-inspired treats that I'd imagine taste exactly as J.K. Rowling described the flavor of butterbeer.
- Classic Butterbeer (Frozen and Regular) - This is the iconic butterbeer recipe. No need to head to The Three Broomsticks when you can whip this up in your own kitchen!
- Butterbeer Blondies - If you like ooey-gooey blondies, then you're going to love this version with brown butter and toasted pecans. I think this treat would fit right in on the Hogwarts tea trolley!
- Butterbeer Popcorn - Whip up a batch of popcorn, watch your favorite Harry Potter movie, and cozy up under a snuggly blanket. All the Harry Potter feels.
